Leaf Cutter Nest

Yesterday, I had an incredible bee-sighting. I noticed a large bee carrying a round piece of leaf as large as itself. It hovered near my tall rudbeckia, then dove under one of the small rocks above. I am delighted to have a leaf-cutter bee nest in my garden, even if it means some of my plants have round holes in them. If you notice polka-dot shaped holes in your roses you may have these visitors too.
