"CVAG’s Ground Level Studio is the host of MERKINS AND CODPIECES a saucy fun filled exhibition guest curated by local sculptor Jeff Hartbower. Everyone was invited to submit an entry or two; we have received entries form as far away as Vancouver and Ontario. A merkin is a toupee for the pubic area developed in the 1700’s for women. It is also a term used plentifully by President George Bush: "ah am proud, to be a merkin citezin". A codpiece is a flap or pouch attached to a man’s clothing providing a protective cover for his genitalia. Examples of codpieces may be seen in Batman and Matrix movies , they also appear on singer Tom Jones. Entry is by donation and the exhibits run from the evening of April 25th to June 7th. Hours are Monday to Saturday 10 – 5pm."
